SecureCert provides a digital infrastructure designed to enhance the authenticity and traceability of academic certificates and credentials.

Where certificate records are uploaded and verified through the Platform, SecureCert may use digital verification technologies, including cryptographic signatures, unique identifiers, and secure verification references to ensure record integrity.

Verification results generated by the Platform confirm that:

  • The certificate record exists within the SecureCert verification system.
  • The record was issued or uploaded by an authorized institution or authorized user.
  • The record has not been altered within the SecureCert verification system..

However, users acknowledge that SecureCert functions as a verification and authentication platform, and not as the issuing authority of academic qualifications.

Accordingly:

  • SecureCert does not grant academic degrees or qualifications.
  • SecureCert does not evaluate academic performance or educational merit.
  • SecureCert confirms only the authenticity of records stored within the system.

Verification responses provided by the Platform may include status indicators such as:

  • Valid.
  • Revoked/Suspended.
  • Not Found.
  • Verification Pending.
  • Record Unavailable.

These responses represent the status of records within the SecureCert verification database at the time of the request.

2. Verification Integrity

The Platform may utilize cryptographic verification technologies and other integrity mechanisms to ensure that certificate records remain tamper resistant.

However, users acknowledge that:

  • The Platform verifies the existence and authenticity of certificate records stored within the system.
  • The Platform does not evaluate the academic merit or academic performance associated with any certificate.

Verification results depend on the accuracy of the institutional data provided.

3. Service Availability and Limitations

While reasonable efforts are made to maintain uninterrupted service, the Platform does not guarantee continuous availability.

The Platform may undergo:

  • Scheduled maintenance.
  • System upgrades.
  • Temporary service interruptions.

The Platform operator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services at any time without prior notice.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All software systems, databases, verification frameworks, branding elements, and platform content remain the exclusive intellectual property of SecureCert and its operators.

Users are granted a limited, non transferable license to access and use the Platform solely for its intended verification purposes.

No user may reproduce, copy, distribute, or reverse engineer any component of the Platform without written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Errors in data uploaded by users or institutions.
  • Incorrect or incomplete certificate information provided by third parties.
  • Misinterpretation of verification results.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Data loss, reputational damage, or business interruption.

Verification results are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

6. Communication and Notifications

Users may receive notifications relating to:

  • Verification requests.
  • Account activity.
  • System updates.
  • Security alerts.

Official communications from the Platform shall be deemed delivered once sent to the user's registered email address.

7. Termination of Access

The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate user access at any time where:

  • These Terms are violated.
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected.
  • The Platform’s integrity or security is threatened.

Termination may occur with or without prior notice.

10. Modification of Terms:

The Platform reserves the right to update or revise these policies at any time. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of the verification service and the resources used to process verification requests, refunds will not be issued after a successful verification transaction has been completed.

Users are encouraged to confirm certificate details carefully before initiating the verification process.
